PADI Sidemount

The PADI Sidemount courses are suitable for recreational divers and technical divers. Students will practice valve drills, gas management, out of air scenarios and buoyancy control. Learning to dive this configuration with the cylinder below the shoulders and along the hips, provides more maneuverability which can be useful in tight spaces.

Upon completion of the course, you will be certified to a maximum depth of 30 metres, (or 40 metres with the PADI Deep Specialty). With twice as much gas and 2 separate regulators and tanks, it is great for videographers or those who tend to stray a little from the group. It is becoming more and more popular, especially with the wreck and cave diving community as you can move tanks around to fit through some of the smaller passageways.

Your Instructor will cover the following topics and skills:

The course will outline the procedures for conducting sidemount dives and is a great addition to your diving qualifications.
