The Self Reliant Diver Speciality course teaches you how to safely dive without relying closely on buddy assistance. The course also covers gas planning, including the use of redundant breathing supplies and dealing with emergencies without help. It combines perfectly with the PADI Sidemount Diver course, as a comfortable, streamlined way to carry an extra, fully independent gas source.

Self Reliant Diver Speciality prerequisites

The entry requirement for this course is advanced open water diver certification.
